EDITOR

THE VOICE OF DOCTORS FOR THE BRITISH MEDICAL ASSOCIATION

With a fabulous team of journalists, I rebranded the old-style quarterly membership magazine and turned it weekly. It went out to 100,000 doctors each week for a decade. We also added an associated web-based news outlet.

STRATEGIST

BREAST CANCER CARE AND BREAST CANCER NOW

Masterminded the integration of a vast portfolio of highly valued multimedia information for people affected by breast cancer. This followed merger of the two charities in 2019. Worked with another fabulous team, of editors and nurses.

DIGITAL

INNOVATION: FROM 1990S TO THE PRESENT DAY

I've been producing digital and social media content since 1996, starting with a news stream at Nursing Times magazine. Recently, I built and continue to maintain a simple website for a small local charity, where I am currently a Trustee. When the facility was forced to close because of Covid restrictions, I was able to help the charity launch a series of virtual meetings so that vital self-help groups could continue.

LATEST NEWS

Winter 2022: Infodemic management 101 course completed. Such an interesting and informative course from the World Health Organization. It covers ways to find, debunk and prebunk (excellent word) health misinformation and disfinformation.

Spring 2022: Rebrand for the excellent Diverse History UK  educational consultancy. They aim to help schools make curricula more diverse. In particular, to help amplify marginalised histories, thus challenging damaging prejudices and stereotypes. The updated brand reflects a wider range of diversity and the striving for bright and positive outcomes.
